\nECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) is a multilayer protective clothing system developed for the U.S. Armed Forces. Its purpose is to enable operations in extreme weather \u2013 from chilly days to arctic temperatures. Each layer has a specific role: moisture wicking, insulation, wind and snow protection. Level 7 is the outermost layer \u2013 responsible for thermal insulation and heat retention in the harshest conditions.
